Definition Files
If you want to involve yourself in tuning the stock ECU, you will definetely need a definition file. It provides informations regarding map structure (addresses, axis, data coefficients) and ECU variables / properties. Basically, it converts the binary content of your .bin into comprehensible and useful data
Take note that even if the definition file match your part and software number, it might be possible that the maps are shifted due to offsets in the binary addresses. That generally happens when the binary has been formated differently from the original file matching the definition [1]
